KRAMER CONGRATULATES NEW MALDEN YOUTH

10.45.00am BST (GMT +0100) Tue 17th Jun 2008

Local MP Susan Kramer congratulated members of Theatre4All on a successful 2nd New Malden Arts Festival.

Kramer said:"The commitment to the community by local youngsters from a wide range of ethnic backgrounds was really brilliant.

"I loved the ingenuity of building an igloo from empty plastic milk bottles to stress concern for the environment.

"And, the fusion of creativity from different traditions was summed up for me by listening to "Amazing Grace" played on what must be the most complex stringed instrument, the Korean "tayagum".

"Young people like this remind us how much we benefit from our young people of all backgrounds."
