MP WARNS LOCAL RESIDENTS TO BE WARY OF TELEPHONE SCAMS

A phone scam reported in SW England may be used in our area warns local MP Susan Kramer.

MPs in Cornwall have reported that local people have been called by crooks claiming to be ringing about a Government Debt Scheme and trying to obtain personal information.

Susan Kramer MP said:

"These crooks are really sick and are always coming up with a new scheme to hit vulnerable people.

With so many people concerned about their finances, claims of a Government scheme to help with debt may hook the unsuspecting to part with personal and financial details. These people are really smooth and convincing. Just hang up on them."
