SIGN THE PETITION TO END HAMMERSMITH BUS STATION CHAOS - KRAMER

11.27.00am GMT Fri 28th Mar 2008

Following the changes to the arrangements for buses travelling over Hammersmith bridge, Susan Kramer MP has launched a petition to get TfL to make proper provision for passengers who have been relegated to an 'interim' bus station.

The text of the petition is as follows:

I/We the undersigned call upon TfL to redesign the bus station at Hammersmith so that:

1. Buses that travel over Hammersmith Bridge are grouped together, allowing passengers to get on the first bus easily and avoiding the danger of crossing in front of moving buses;

2. There is a proper shelter for passengers, with protection from the elements;

3. There is clear signage to direct passengers to the correct stop;

4. A handrail is provided on the covered walkway, and a better surface to prevent people slipping.
