MP MEETS HEALTH UNION TO DISCUSS IMPACT OF KINGSTON HOSPITAL FUNDING

12.15.19pm BST (GMT +0100) Mon 23rd Oct 2006

MP Susan Kramer met with Unison representatives at Kingston Hospital at the end of last week to discuss the impact of funding problems on staff and their morale.

Susan Kramer said:

' I wanted to let the union know that I have raised their concerns with Ministers in Parliament and to find out at first hand the impact of funding problems on staff.

'Quite apart from concerns around jobs and patient care there is always an issue of staff morale in these circumstances. Dedicated staff are the life blood of the NHS.

"The NHS is a vital local service and I will continue to do all I can to campaign against any move that will damage its ability to care for the people of the area."
