FARE DODGERS STOPPED AT KINGSTON STATIONWritten by SUSAN KRAMER MP on Mon 1st Oct 2007 Susan Kramer, MP for Richmond Park, congratulated Safer Transport Police Teams and SW trains revenue officers (ticket inspectors) for stamping down on fare dodgers at Kingston Station. The teams have been challenging rush hour passengers for the past two weeks and have found significant numbers of passengers travelling on children's tickets and other discounts to which they are not entitled. Kramers said:" the number of cheats is dropping as word gets round that you will get caught. These cheats in effect rob all travellers. "The Safer Neighbourhood Teams are proving their worth. "The SW trains revenue officers are also doing a good job but Kingston Station is so busy that I am asking SW trains to increase their number." ENDS
